You might’ve noticed – iPhone is ‘boycotting’ certain movie & music formats.
In fact, the file extensions that are iOS-compatible are very limited. You can literally count them with the fingers of one hand.
And it’s a real misfortune. Look – iPhones & iPads are top-notch devices. They are perfect for playing videos of any kind. Even if the movie is nothing but a hullabullo, it’s still nice to watch one on that gorgeous Retina screen.
Now, if you are wondering which ones of your songs & movies get along with your iPhone:
These Media Formats are Compatible
The all-new iPhone 7 is able to play back h.264 videos, up to 4K, 30 frames per second, High Profile level 4.2 with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHZ.
What does this mean?
You are probably good, if you are buying stuff from iTunes store. But something tells me you are not forking out money on every song or video you happen to like.
In this case, you might own a collection of movies or music in formats like MKV, AVI, FLAC, APE, etc. Those are ‘officially blacklisted’ by Apple. If that’s the matter, you probably are looking for a legit solution to handle this.
Here at our lab at Softorino, after a lot of testing & experimenting we came up with WALTR 2. Not only it’s faster than iTunes but also, it’s a heavy-lifter since it’s gonna accept any media format you feed it with.
All you do is just drop the file in the drop-zone here.
It’s gonna be saved to your default music/video player no iTunes involved 🙂
